Max & Dixie are beautiful German Shorthaired Pointers and are siblings. They are looking for a forever home! Max and Dixie’s master died and they were banished to a boarding kennel and slated for euthanasia. A concerned vet contacted Pet Pals of Maury County Tennessee, who in turn, contacted Southeast GSP Rescue. Although Max & Dixie are 9 years old, they are still quite healthy and active. They both enjoy playing fetch with a tennis ball. They are crate trained and obedient.
They play in their foster mom’s fenced in back yard with their foster brother and sister and also enjoy coming back inside and chilling in the house as well. They do well indoors under supervision. They both aim to please. They get along well with all of their foster brothers and sister. However, Dixie is an alpha dog and would probably do best in a home with either no other dogs or other male dogs. This is a truly delightful pair who is sure to give many hours of pleasure to their special person. We prefer to adopt them together but they can be adopted separately if an ideal situation should occur. As with most GSPs, they need a secure play area.
