We are happy to announce that little Sally (now River) in Georgia has found her forever home and has settled in quickly. She loves snuggling with her four-footed sister, Kaylee, and has already proven herself to be quite the daddy's girl. Congratulations River and the McDougal family
Odin has found his forever family! Odin and his sister Freya were rescued by a good Samaritan after almost being hit by a car. Thank you to his foster parents Michelle and Jen for taking such good care of Odin and finding the perfect family to adopt him. Congratulations to Odin and the Swedalla family!
Amy (FL) has found her forever home! She now has a GSP brother Buddy and they play and get along beautifully. Her new mom Elizabeth uses the same trainer that Amy has been working with so she will continue with her training that she loves so much. A HUGE thank you to her foster parents Claudine and Jim who gave Amy lots of TLC and went through a lot of applications searching for the perfect fit. Congrats Amy, Elizabeth and Buddy!
May we have your attention, please? Maverick, being fostered in Tennessee, has an important announcement! He has decided that being able to chase rabbits, play on the farm and hang out with his foster brother Bo. Sounds just about perfect, and since he’s enjoyed it so much during his foster time there, he asked his foster dad if he could just go ahead and stay forever. And of course, his foster dad said he absolutely could! Congratulations to Maverick, new brother Bo and dad, Ted! We are so happy for you all!
Freya (SC; aka Miss Priss), one of the two puppies brought into rescue after almost being hit by a car, has officially been adopted by her foster family. She’s helped her canine sibling exercise more, joins her mom on PetSmart visits and has determined she is more than worthy of sleeping on furniture (certainly not the bare ground). YAY Freya and congratulations to the Korngiebel family!
Duke has found his forever home! He had quite a weekend traveling from his foster home in FL to his forever home in NC. Thank you to our transporters Earendil, Ellen, Maggie, Nick, Beth, Sharon, Susan, Cynthia and Melissa. And a big thank you to Beth Williams with the Clairmont Animal Hospital for hosting Duke overnight. Of course we are very grateful for Earendil who fostered Duke. We know this was a bittersweet moment for him since this was his first foster dog and he loves Duke so it was very hard to say goodbye. However we know beyond a shadow of doubt that he chose an amazing home for Duke. Congratulations Melissa (and Duke)! We are looking forward to photos at his new home…
Floyd has found his home! Floyd was one of the two puppies found in the streets of Alabama. Thank you to LaNell and Rick, his foster family for preparing him for this moment. Floyd’s journey included a long transport from his foster home in AL to his forever home in North Carolina. Thank you to his transporters: LaNell & Rick, Vickie, Andy & Deanna, Kendra and Maureen.
From LaNell and Rick: “Our family is really going to miss this little guy but knows he will have the best life with his new family!” Congratulations to Floyd and the Woolshlager family! Calvin (FL) has officially been adopted by his foster dad Greg! Jury is still out on whether his name will be changed, but there’s no doubt he fits right in and everyone is very happy. YAY Calvin – congratulations everyone.
Liberty Bell (now Libby) has found her family! From her foster mom Emylee: “Libby's new family, Joe, Naz, and doggy brother Dallas, are so excited to have her! Libby was already super excited to have a screened-in porch to watch for squirrels in her new, big backyard. She made herself right at home when she got there and picked a stuffed toy to carry around, and quickly found her new spot behind her new dad on the couch! She tired her new brother out quick and sounds like she's having a blast.”
Thank you Emylee for fostering Libby and finding her forever home – it’s a happy day! |
