Andy | Back
Andy is a young (around a year old) neutered male with a full tail that is in constant motion. Andy is originally from Andrews, SC where he took up with a family and got them to start feeding him. Andy didn’t like to be alone so he would dig out of the fenced in backyard and spend the day with the lab across the road in the invisible fencing. Then about the time for his new-found friends to come home from work, he’d be on the carport waiting for dinner. They knew that this wasn’t the best situation for Andy so they contacted rescue.
Andy was transported to a foster home in Alabama in the middle of September. Andy is fitting in well with all the other dogs in the house (there are two other fosters and three resident dogs). Andy has a very high prey drive and screams when he sees the resident cat. Andy is not crazy about the crate if you are at home because he wants to be with you or the other dogs. Due to his recent neuter, he’s had to spend a little time in the crate and he is a real Houdini and can get out of wire crates (he pulls the bars apart with his teeth).
Andy is learning his name and how to walk on a leash and how to sit on command. Andy will do best in a home without any small animals or cats. Andy is almost totally housebroken and crate trained (as long as you don’t stay home after crating him). Andy is not a very big boy, his shoulder only comes up to my knee and he only weighs 44 pounds.
