Andy | Back

AndyAndy is a young (around a year old) neutered male with a full tail that is in constant motion. Andy is originally from Andrews, SC where he took up with a family and got them to start feeding him. Andy didn’t like to be alone so he would dig out of the fenced in backyard and spend the day with the lab across the road in the invisible fencing. Then about the time for his new-found friends to come home from work, he’d be on the carport waiting for dinner. They knew that this wasn’t the best situation for Andy so they contacted rescue.

Andy was transported to a foster home in Alabama in the middle of September. Andy is fitting in well with all the other dogs in the house (there are two other fosters and three resident dogs). Andy has a very high prey drive and screams when he sees the resident cat. Andy is not crazy about the crate if you are at home because he wants to be with you or the other dogs. Due to his recent neuter, he’s had to spend a little time in the crate and he is a real Houdini and can get out of wire crates (he pulls the bars apart with his teeth).

Andy is learning his name and how to walk on a leash and how to sit on command. Andy will do best in a home without any small animals or cats. Andy is almost totally housebroken and crate trained (as long as you don’t stay home after crating him). Andy is not a very big boy, his shoulder only comes up to my knee and he only weighs 44 pounds.

rescue dog Mary Mary Grace | Back

Mary Grace is a very active and friendly senior GSP. She came to rescue when her owner surrendered her to the shelter after years of service as a brood bitch. Mary Grace is vivacious and friendly, gets along well with other dogs, is spayed, up-to-date on everything and on heartworm preventative. She does have high prey drive so can not go to a home with cats or other small animals.

If you are interested to give Mary Grace a home, please fill out an APPLICATION TO ADOPT and email MELINDA.

rescue dog SusieSusie | Back

Susie is 10 years young, was saved from a shelter where her owner took her after years of serving as a brood bitch.

Susie is very affectionate. She loves a good romp in the yard, is great in the house and in the crate. She needs a structured environment where she can have crate time, but she loves her time on the couch with her peeps too. She will sit nicely for a treat.....and she loves to eat!! Susie is good with other dogs and cats.

If you can open your home to this very sweet senior, please fill out an application to adopt HERE or email BETH for more information
