| gretchen | Back |
Adoption pending Gretchen is approximately a year old and is a smart, lovable and very sweet young girl. Gretchen was picked up by an animal control officer in Central Florida. When the officer returned her to her home, her owners surrendered her telling the officer "to just keep her." When the officer mentioned she would probably end up on the short list (euthanized), they still turned her over. A really nice lady who rescues hunting breed dogs saw her shelter photo in early July and contacted SE GSP Rescue, and she has been in foster care since. Gretchen arrived weighing a gaunt 29 pounds. She has put on weight nicely and is now up to 34 pounds. She enjoys playing with soft squeaky toys, chew bones and tennis balls.
Gretchen has all the instincts and characteristics of a GSP, and is catching on to fetch and retrieve. She is good on a leash as we walk close to 3 miles every morning. Gretchen loves her foster sister GSP Abigail and her foster brother, Gizmo, a 17 year old orange tabby cat. Gretchen is learning her basic commands such as come, sit, stay and is doing well with potty training. She is excellent in the house, but we are careful to reinforce going outside to potty. Gretchen loves children, but still needs supervision with little people as her puppy exuberance sometimes takes over and the urge to play overwhelms her. She does well inside a fence and has not challenged the 4 and one-half foot plantation style fence at her foster families home. |

Gretchen needs a home where her humans engage in an active lifestyle, and willing to grow through her puppy-hood. She is a great walking/running companion and plays very nicely with other dogs. Gretchen loves attention, toys and her big "poofy" dog bed. She makes a wonderful cuddly buddy. Gretchen is crate trained. |

| Maggie Mae | Back |
Maggie Mae is a female, approx. 8-10 years old, current on all vaccinations, h/w negative. Maggie Mae was picked up as a stray, and the owners were never found. She is good in the house, grateful for her foster home, she wags at everyone she meets and would make a wonderful pet for someone who would like an older dog to live in their house.
She is missing several teeth, but manages to do fine on her kibble after soaking it for a few minutes.
If you are interested in adopting Maggie Mae, please fill out an adoption application HERE and you can also call 407-679-8913, in Deltona, FL or email CHERYL for more information on Maggie Mae!! |

| Piper | Back |
This gorgeous girl is 8 yrs old, very sweet and healthy. Piper is crate trained and great in the house.
Due to her alpha tendencies, she would probably fare best as an only dog or a home without other female dogs. Piper is extremely cat-sharp, so no cats or other small pets.
If you can give Piper a loving forever home, please fill out an application to adopt HERE. For more information on Piper, contact her foster mom Jennifer Campbell |

| Lady | Back |
Lady earned her name because she is so polite! She is very energetic, loving, and loves to get under your feet. She does not like cats at all and other than cats I do not believe that she dislikes anything else. She likes to play fetch although she doesn't always bring it back. She is fine around other dogs and really loving towards people. She will lay in your lap if you give her the chance.
If you wish to give Lady a forever home, please fill out an application to adopt HERE. For more information on Lady, contact Paul or 352-793-4887.
