Mr Big | Back

Mr Big came to rescue via a shelter, where his owners surrendered him because they couldn't afford to feed him. He was a gaunt 54 lbs when he arrived in foster care, and he should fill out to be 65-70 lbs. Despite the hard shake he had in the first part of his life, he maintains a joyous attitude and his tail is constantly wagging.

Big is between 18 months - 2 years old, still very "puppy-ish", goofy and mischievous. He walks well on leash, is crate trained, jumps right in his van crate to go for a ride, and is learning how to be in public without leaping all over everyone for attention, hehe.

He will come over a fence, so we recommend privacy or electronic fencing to keep him safe.

Big is learning house manners and is quickly becoming civilized. He is grateful for his crate and soft beds to sleep on, and loves tug toys, peanut butter bones and chew bones. His first action coming out of the crate is grab a soft toy to carry around.

Big is settling in at his new foster home, and gets along great with the other dogs there. He's interested in the cat, but not cat sharp, so if a cat is already socialized to dogs, he will be fine with that cat. Big is super sweet, eager to learn and ready to be a part of an active and loving family.

no catsBig is not suited for a family with SMALL children, because he has not yet learned to contain his exuberance for life and we think he would knock little kids down without meaning any harm. He is super sweet though, and loves everyone, so OLDER kids who can handle a rambunctious dog coming at them, will be fine! :)

If you can offer this spunky boy the opportunity to grow into the magnificent adult he is destined to become, please fill out an application to adopt | HERE | and email BETH

Big is located north of Atlanta.

ADOPTION PENDING

rescuesadie | Back

This beautiful girl was brought to a shelter in rural Tennessee by a concerned citizen, who saved her from death. She is young adult, we estimate 3 years.

Sadie is a very sweet girl! She is a typical GSP with a lot of energy but she is cuddly and loves affection. She needs her exercise but she is quiet in the house and loves to play with her toys and chew her bones.

She listens well and has been doing pretty well with coming when she is called, even outdoors.  She loves running, is crate trained, house trained, and getting much better on a leash.

She seems to be fine with children but NO CATSshe has very high prey drive, so no cats or small pets. Sadie would be best as an only dog, but will get along with more assertive males and more submissive females.

If you are interested in adopting Sadie, please fill out an application to adopt HERE and email BETH
