These are courtesy listings for "almost" GSPs, those that are not purebred so we can't take them into our program. The application process is strictly between the potential adopter and the supporting rescue, shelter or foster parent listed with each dog. Thanks for looking!

Hi, my name is Mocha and I need a forever home with fenced in back yard for play. I am house trained and I know how to sit, walk on leash and shake hands. I'm very playful with other dogs, and I love to play in my kiddie pool in summer when it is hot!

no kidsI am noise sensitive, so hunting is not for me. I'm also scared of some strangers, especially small children and men. I do warm up to some of them after time and lots of treats, though, but I would prefer to live in a home with just other dogs and no kids.

My foster mom requires a fenced in yard so I can get lots of play time, and promises that I will only be adopted to a home where I will be a house dog.

I am spayed, current on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm free and on preventative.

SETH is a stray, about 8 months old. He was found on Marietta Drive in Hopkinsville, KY. He is available for adoption now. *Note: the shelter is advertising him as a "Chocolate Lab/Weim Mix" but consensus among the bird dog folks is he is almost-GSP.

RESCUEShelter is always at capacity as it is a regional shelter serving 4 Kentucky counties. All animals have limited time. Don't delay, contact us if you see an animal you wish to adopt. Time is of the essence ! Shelter is open Tuesdays thru Fridays from 10:30 to 4:30 and Saturdays from 10:30 to 1:00. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Shelter is very rescue friendly; transportation help is limited. 270-887-4175. Thanks for helping our animals! Adoption fees are $49.00 for dogs and puppies and $44.00 for cats and kittens. If the animal you are adopting is spayed or neutered, the fees are reduced!
