BEN | Back

rescueBen is an extremely cute 6-8 month old puppy full of exuberance and silliness.  He is a smart little boy and is already house trained, working on crate training, and can fetch a ball.  He’s been a welcome guest in his foster home and is learning new things every day, including some basic obedience and general manners.  Ben is curious about everything, especially the birds around the yard.  He currently weighs about 40 pounds, and will likely weigh 50-55 pounds as an adult.

Ben is a typical GSP, and lives up to the term “velcro dog”.  He does not like being separated from his people, even if he’s in the company of other dogs.  However, he is not shy or afraid of anything.  He is healthy, happy, and looking for a forever home. If you are interested in adopting Ben, please fill out an application to adopt HERE and contact HEATHER for more information.

molly | Back

Molly is a wonderful, very energetic 8 year-old female.  She weighs about 50 pounds.  She currently lives outdoors but would have no problem making the transition to inside living.  She does have some hunt and retrieving training but has not been hunted in years.  Molly loves children and is exuberant when meeting new people.  She craves attention, and would benefit from a regimented daily routine.  She does well with other dogs, but needs to be in a home without cats.  Her obedience is rusty but will probably come back quickly because she is very attentive.  Despite her age, Molly needs lots of daily exercise and would make an excellent jogging partner or enjoy off-leash runs in a safe environment.   If you are interested in adopting Molly, please fill out an adoption application and contact Heather for more information.

ADOPTION PENDING

Millie was rescued from a hunt trainer when her owner sent her to be trained and never paid for services. She is approximately 4 years old but acts like she is 1 or 2.

Millie is sweet, puppy-like, and very responsive to commands (the ones she knows). Once she bonds with you, she will follow you anywhere! She is about 35 pounds and will keep an ideal weight between 35-40 pounds. She likes to run but also loves to find a nice warm spot in the yard to sunbathe.

Millie is house and crate trained. She doesn’t jump a lot but wiggles when she walks. Her nickname is “Smiley” b/c she has a constant grin her face. She has a passive personally in that she will submit to other dogs or people. As a result, I believe once she bonds with her new family, she will be eager to please and will quickly learn any basic commands.

Millie is a real gem. Any family will be lucky to have her. Ideally, she would love to have a family with other pets or people who are home in the evenings to exercise her regularly. She has a lot of stamina but can be a true couch potato in the house. She also doesn’t seem interested in cats either.

If you would like to add this little slice of heaven to your family, please fill out an application to adopt HERE and email LAUREN

Nell | Back

Nell is really coming out of her shell.  She is very playful and sweet.  She wants nothing but to snuggle with people as much as possible.  She gets along with dogs, cats, and kids.  She likes to do "circus dog"  and can balance on her back legs for a really long time!  She is learning manners and basic commands.  Nell will need a home that gives her lots of love, excercise, and training.  She, in turn, will give very enthusiastic affection.  She is about 3 years old and very small (about 40 lbs).

rescuetate | Back

Tate is a friendly guy just waiting for a place with an active family.  He is approximately 6-8 years old and very large.  He is house-trained, crate-trained, and newly trained to an underground fence system.

Tate knows all his basic commands and is extremely well-behaved in the house. He gets along well with children and loves to go for walks and rides in the car.  He also gets along well with the animals in his foster home but does want to be the alpha dog. For this reason, he should not be placed in any homes that have dominant male dogs.

He is currently being trained by the resident cat and has learned to ignore the chickens in the pen.  He is a very calm dog with a genuine desire to please.

If you are interested in adopting Tate, please fill out an application to adopt HERE and contact Viki for more information.
