Well, it’s another Foster Fail Friday… Heidi knew almost immediately that her foster home was the right home… forever. Yup, Heidi, now Stormy, has found her forever home right where she is with the Martin family!
She may steal shoes when you’re not looking, but she stole her family’s hearts as well and that’s the most important prerequisite for a foster fail. This sweet girl didn’t have the easiest start (abandoned after having at least one litter) but those days are now far behind her. Her future is bright, and her heart is full. Her new dad said June is a very good dog. She is sweet, loving and minds well. Last week they took her to their daughter’s house and she did well with her dogs and was a hit with the family. Russell’s wife unfortunately fell last week while he was gone and when he found her, June was sitting beside her. We now know June would make a great emotional support dog. A huge thank-you to her incredible foster parents, Marla and Scott, for giving June the love, patience, and stability she needed to heal and shine. It’s because of our amazing foster volunteers that stories like June’s have such happy endings. She’s had a rough rescue story, going in and out of foster homes. A very special thank you to her first foster parents, Karter and Storie, who had whelping experience and the foster families she’s had along the way. But she’s home now! And happy! “We opened our home to Kaiser as his foster family… and he wasted no time stealing our hearts. It didn’t take long for us to realize he was already home. We’ve officially changed his name to Ranger, and we’re thrilled to share that we will be his forever family! Ranger arrived with a leg injury and quite a bit of anxiety. His leg healed beautifully, and we’re continuing to work through his separation anxiety together. In the meantime, he’s discovered all his favorite things — long walks in the woods, chasing a ball, and snuggling on the couch like a pro. He blended into our family instantly. On our walks, people even mistake Ranger for Sadie (a proud SE GSP alum!) — they swear the two are twins. We can’t wait to give Ranger a lifetime of love, belly rubs, and all his favorite treats. Thank you to Southeast GSP Rescue for trusting us with this sweet boy. |
