Forever looks so good on you, Annie.

Some foster stories end with a goodbye. Others become forever.

When Southeast GSP Rescue’s Tennessee State Coordinator reached out to Dalene while she was on vacation about fostering Annie, all it took was one photo and her story. Dalene instantly fell in love, sharing Annie’s picture with anyone who would look.

Just six weeks later, that “yes” has become forever.

If you’ve followed Annie’s journey, you know how far she has come. A kind Good Samaritan refused to let her story end where it began, rescuing her from a heartbreaking situation and giving her the chance to learn what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family. With patience and love, Annie discovered the joys of being an indoor dog—exploring the yard, chasing crickets, perfecting her morning zoomies, and, of course, soaking up plenty of snuggles.

Dalene shared:

“It’s been six weeks and we have decided to make it forever. She is a sweet and very smart girl. I’m looking forward to sharing adventures and snuggles for a long time to come.”

Thank you, Dalene, for saying yes to fostering, for opening your heart to Annie, and for making that temporary commitment a lifelong one. Thank you also to the Good Samaritan who rescued Annie from such a sad existence, helped her learn to trust, and loved her enough to know she deserved an incredible forever home.
