Murphy is finally home with his new family! He is a lucky boy… he now lives with his mom Lilly, grandparents and GSP sister Chloe. There will definitely be a lot of playing in Murphy’s future… and love. LOTS of love!
A HUGE thank you to Murphy’s foster mom Kerry for preparing Murphy for this happy day! Congratulations to Murphy, Lilly and the entire family! This sweet older gentleman has officially found his forever home!
A huge thank you to the Watkins family for opening their hearts and home to Hershey as his foster family. Fosters make rescue possible, and because they said “yes” to Hershey, he had a safe place to land while waiting for his forever family. We’re happy to report that Hershey is settling in beautifully with his new family and is already learning the ins and outs of his invisible fence. Sounds like this smart boy is catching on quickly! At his age, Hershey deserves nothing less than a soft bed, a loving family and a peaceful place to enjoy his golden years. We’re so happy he found exactly that. Happy adoption day, Hershey! May this next chapter be filled with all the love, comfort and happiness you deserve. Thank you to everyone who helped Hershey along the way! Dixie, now Georgia, has found her home with Matt and as soon as he opened the car door she hopped right in! She was ready!
Her foster mom Nikki said, “She will take some time to get acclimated to her new surroundings but her trust in Matt was apparent from their first meeting which is how I knew she chose him. She went and sat right with him, which isn’t a norm for her at all. Georgia is naturally more scared and timid of anything new or change so I knew that this would be hard for her, but he would provide her with the patience and support she needs. I’m grateful this sweet girl has found exactly where she belongs.” YAY Georgia! Thank you so much Nikki for helping Georgia along her journey. And congrats to Matt and Georgia! Our sweet little Bailey has found her home! We are so very thankful to her foster dad Paden, for all the love he’s given to Bailey, helping her heal from heartworms and for finding her family!
Bailey’s first years of life were nothing short of heartbreaking. She knew only an outdoor cage, day after day, living in her own filth with no comfort, and no soft place to rest. But that is behind her now and she’ll only experience, joy, love and safety for the rest of her life! Congratulations to Bailey and the Matthias family! It’s official - Dottie is home (with her foster, now forever family)
From her mom Jade: “When Dottie first arrived, beautiful as she was, she was a live wire and didn’t quite know how to accept being loved on. But little by little, she relaxed, and very quickly crawled into our hearts. Now she’s completely at home. When she isn’t running in the yard, she’s a full-blown lap dog, sits at the mahjong table with her mom, guards the front door for deliveries, plays fetch with her human sisters and wrestles with her GSP sister, Luna all day long. Thanks to SEGSP, Dottie is right where she’s meant to be! Welcome home forever, Dottie.” CONGRATS everyone! Dixie (the one in FL) has found her home with the Williams family. Her dad said, “She is doing better. Been a long month getting her special diet settled. She is very attached to me and stays close.
Dixie is smart and less nervous now. I expect her to continue to adjust as time passes.” We are so glad to hear that Dixie is adjusting well. Dixie is 10 years old and spent the last 7 years being loved and sadly came back to SEGSP due to her mom’s health challenges. So understandably, it will take time for her to relax and enjoy her new life. Congratulations Dixie and the Williams Family! And it’s OFFICIAL! Maggie (GA) is staying right where she is, with her foster, now forever, family – YAY! And look at this beautiful girl… you’d never know she came to rescue weighing only 31 lbs. and heartworm positive. She has come a long way and is assured to have a wonderful life thanks to her family! Congrats to Maggie and her entire family!
Buddy has officially declared he is staying with his foster, now forever, family – he is HOME! Buddy & Gretta (2021 SEGSP alum) are forever friends and now siblings. They love their nightly walk together and get along beautifully.
Buddy came to rescue due to his mom’s serious health challenges that now prevents her from caring for her beloved dogs. Buddy has been lovingly cared-for his entire life, so this transition was very sad but now has a happy ending. Congratulations to Buddy and the entire Matthews family! It’s official – Pixie, now Stella, is staying with her foster family… FOREVER!
From her mom Crystal: “We love her so much and are so excited to officially call her ours. Her name was Pixie when she came to us, but she never responded to it so we changed it to Stella. She has been such a great addition to our family. Stella has so much personality. She loves being outside. When not outside, her and her sister feel the need to continue their neighborhood watch from the front door. She’s living her best life. If it’s outside running, protecting her yard or curled up in the bed like she owns it, she seems to be very happy here with us and we are so happy to have her!” Stella beat heartworms with the help of foster family and we couldn’t be more thankful to and happy for Stella and her family – CONGRATULATIONS Happy News… Harper was officially adopted over the weekend!
Saying goodbye to a foster dog is never easy, especially when they have been so deeply loved by their foster family. Foster mom, Amy, and her family opened their hearts and home to Harper, giving her the love, care, and stability she needed while she waited for her forever family. But knowing Harper Grace is going to have such a wonderful life makes every tear, every goodbye, and every moment of fostering all worth it. Thank you, Amy and family, for loving her so well and helping her get to where she belongs. Here’s to a lifetime of love, adventures, and happy memories, Harper Grace! Congratulations to the Morrow family on your new family member! |
