Happy news to close out this wonderful Mother’s Day:

Clark has made it official. He’a home, and his foster mom, Lyndsay, agrees and has decided to make it official and adopt him.

Here’s what she shared, “I am so happy to be the lucky one who gets to be Clark’s mom. When I saw the email about him needing a foster home, my heart was broken about such a good looking, young pup being in the Clarksville shelter…and my sweet angel rescue Doberman, Sarge, had also come from there, so it felt like a sign that I should offer to foster this one. I decided I would call him “Clark” temporarily while we waited out his forever folks finding him. His name is a nod to his shelter and a hat tip to the greatest Vanderbilt football coach in history, and to remind us that he was graciously transported from Clarksville to Leiper’s Fork by two fellow Vandy alums who love GSPs (and Coach Lea, too)!

I should’ve known on night one that he would never leave this home. He has been a lightning bolt of happiness from minute 1. He immediately took to training…so fast that I’m getting credit where no credit is due! He is truly just a wild gift of GSP joy. His coat is as soft as silk and even though he is happiest absolutely velcroed to my side, he is also kennel trained and is more than happy to stay in his house when need be. His SEGSP alum big sis, Dixie, took to him like white on rice and he gives her a run for her money on their all day property runs. He also gets along with his Dobie brother, Rowdy, and enjoys their playful growl-infused tug of wars even if Rowdy always has to win.

I just can’t say enough about what a good boy he is…and while I’m sure he would’ve made an absolutely excellent hunting companion (and maybe still will!), he is the perfect addition to my life and I’m so happy to be foster failing yet again! Thank you, as always, to the best rescue organization on earth, SEGSP, who makes everything so easy and seamless, and also especially to our TN coordinator, Mandy White, who could not possibly be kinder or easier to work with and who cares so deeply about these dogs and the people who help!”

Wow! It’s easy to see why he was destined to be a foster fail. Congrats to everyone!
