Congrats to Max in Florida – he has found his forever home (with his foster family)!
His dad said, “Max is doing great. We just returned from a road trip to MA. He is happy as a peacock to be back. I believe he thought I was giving him away. Upon return he pounced around the front yard like a bucking bronco at a rodeo. All four of his feet left the ground. He shows so much appreciation for being here with me and my other GSP. The other was sick last night experiencing diarrhea and he stayed right alongside her all night and refused to go on his morning walk just to be with her. He is always patrolling the yard and has his toys all over the yard and house.” Congratulations to Max and his dad Michael! A very happy announcement… Leo has found his forever home. A big thank you to his foster parents Lynn and Eric for preparing Leo for this awesome day. And congratulations to Leo, Ed and Nancy!
August knew from the beginning she was home… Her foster home is officially now her forever home. When she came to rescue from a NC shelter with an upper respiratory infection, her foster family nursed her back to health. That cinched it for August – she wasn’t going anywhere.
Congratulations to August and the entire Prybol family! Ahhhh… we love a good foster fail! Melissa & John just couldn’t let Doobie go, so instead they kept him & took a vacation! Here are some pictures with his sister Kate (soft-coated wheaten terrier) at home and Toby (Great Pyranese) in Lake Tahoe (road trip). The rest of the pictures are from various stops along the way of their trip as well. Congratulations to the whole family.
Reba (the one in SC), who came to rescue as a stray in horrible condition (a stricture around her colon and skin and bone), is now named Greta Rose, and she found her forever family – YAY! A big thank you to her foster parents, Jennifer and Tim, for everything they did for Greta Rose, especially finding the right home for her. Congratulations everyone!
Teddy, now Saint, has found his home (and has 2 human sisters)! Saint came to rescue with his five siblings and mom Breeze. He was very lucky to be fostered by Avril and Ben who helped him learn about being a good dog and how awesome playtime, love and cuddles can be. Thank you, Avril and Ben!
And congratulations to Saint and the Tait family! Buddy is home! Buddy came to rescue in August of last year and he lucked out by being fostered by Kelly and Cord. Thank you both for all you did for him.
Buddy may be small but has a lot of love to give his new family. Congratulations Buddy and the Turner family! #BuddyIsHome #GSPforever #GSPlove Happy happy foster fail Friday on this beautiful Valentines Day! From foster, now forever mom, Vicki, “Whoever said Diamonds are a girls best friend never loved a German Shorthair Pointer! Happy Valentine’s Day to me as we welcome Jacob as part of our family, that’s right you heard me, he is staying right here where he is comfortable and happy. The moment I looked in Jacob’s eyes I knew our souls were bound by understanding and love, and would be for the rest of our lives. Jacob came to me with the worst separation anxiety I have ever dealt with and it absolutely broke my heart in two. The look of desperation and pain that I saw in his eyes when he knew I was leaving was unbearable and it just made you want to hug him tight. After purchasing an Assisi Loop, working on nose work, getting a proper kennel and making sure he was well exercised I finally broke through his anxiety enough to start his training. He is now kennel trained and can roam free in the house when I leave to go to work or run errands. He is the best GSP, very well mannered, loves all dogs and humans, is fully trained off leash and on leash, loves to hunt, go for car rides, go to work with me, ride on the boat and of course snuggle up at night and watch tv. I don’t know what I did in this world to deserve another soul mate but I will love and cherish him from this day until the end. He is mine and I am his and together we will brighten everyone’s world just a little bit more through laughter and all the shenanigans with his new siblings Fatty McFatterson the OG GSP, SEGSP Alums Minnie Pearl and JJ McShorty and the one and only Fighting Chance Rescue Alum Tater Tot. My world is complete, my heart is full, and I have more happiness in this house than anyone could ever need. Live your life on your own terms, love with every breath you breathe, be thankful for the little things that bring you joy and for the love of every rescue dog out there please adopt, don’t shop!” What a lucky pair! #valentinestreat #adoptdontshop #fosterfailfriday #segsprescue
Another happy adoption announcement… Truman found his forever home! He had a very rough start in life. He came from a NC breeding/hoarding situation in which he suffered from a bad case of ringworm, but after a few short months in rescue, he healed both physically and emotionally.
A very big thank you to Tracy and Mike for fostering Truman through his health challenges and showing him how awesome life is. Congratulations to his new forever dad Bo! What a happy ending! #TrumanIsHome #GSPhomeforever #GSPlife Remington is now Buck! Yup, he’s home…forever.
His new mom Mary Ellen said, “We just LOVE him. He is so sweet and a perfect addition to our family and the best little buddy for our other GSP named Tucker. Tracey, his foster mom did an amazing job with him!” We agree! Thank you, Tracey, for all you did fostering Buck – puppies are a handful #BuckIsHome #GSPforever #GSPlove |
