It’s Foster Fail Friday and Clibano has done it! She not only completed heartworm treatment, but she’s stolen her foster family’s hearts and is staying right where she is!  YAY!  And she also has a new name… Disco!  We love it!   CONGRATS!!!

Millie

Happy Adoption to Debra, Jack and our sweet Millie!  Millie came to rescue from a shelter pregnant and had 10 puppies during Hurricane Milton.  She’s had a rough rescue story, going in and out of foster homes.  A very special thank you to her first foster parents, Karter and Storie, who had whelping experience and the foster families she’s had along the way.  But she’s home now!  And happy!  Congratulations everyone ♥️

Kaiser AKA Ranger

11/20/2025

Another great foster fail:

“We opened our home to Kaiser as his foster family… and he wasted no time stealing our hearts. It didn’t take long for us to realize he was already home. We’ve officially changed his name to Ranger, and we’re thrilled to share that we will be his forever family!

Ranger arrived with a leg injury and quite a bit of anxiety. His leg healed beautifully, and we’re continuing to work through his separation anxiety together. In the meantime, he’s discovered all his favorite things — long walks in the woods, chasing a ball, and snuggling on the couch like a pro.

He blended into our family instantly. On our walks, people even mistake Ranger for Sadie (a proud SE GSP alum!) — they swear the two are twins.

We can’t wait to give Ranger a lifetime of love, belly rubs, and all his favorite treats.

Thank you to Southeast GSP Rescue for trusting us with this sweet boy.

Maisie

A loving note from Maisie’s foster family…

“Today we dropped off sweet Maisie at MarshVet, where we had the pleasure of meeting her wonderful adoptive family, the Parrs. They were incredibly gracious and so appreciative of the rescue, and of all the work Carla and I put into finding Maisie the perfect home.

The Parrs are a truly lovely couple, and Maisie is stepping into a life filled with love, adventure, and all the exciting GSP things she could dream of!

We snapped a few photos — including a favorite where Maisie leans in to give Kelly a big smooch. Moments like that make the goodbye bittersweet, but our hearts are full knowing she’s exactly where she’s meant to be.”

Congratulations to everyone on getting Maisie to forever.

Reggie

 Foster Fail Alert!

Please join us in celebrating Reggie’s official adoption!

His foster family — now forever family — couldn’t imagine life without this sweet boy. Tamara shared:

“We are so excited to have Reggie officially be a member of the family! He certainly felt the difference when he officially joined the family, because that’s when we finally let him come to bed with us !

Reggie has been a good boy from the start. He and his brother Jäger have gotten along since day one — they love playing in the yard and keeping an eye on the squirrels for us! He’s also recently started running with Jäger and me. You can tell he really loves those outings because as soon as you pick up his harness, he gets so excited and spins in little circles until we head out the door!

He’s super smart and learns new commands quickly. We’re so glad we get to be his second chance and can’t wait for all of our future adventures together!”
Reggie (the handsome liver GSP) has truly found his perfect forever home with Tamara, Richie, and Jäger (the black and white GSP). Congratulations to this wonderful family — and cheers to a lifetime of love, zoomies, and squirrel patrol!

Birdie

11/6/2025

Picture
Birdie has done it… from "foster" to "forever."  She’s convinced her foster family that she should STAY and become a forever part of the family.  We don’t think it took much convincing 😊
Congrats to Birdie, Brooke, Lacey, Louise (black/white) and Edith (yellow)!

Brody (now Leo)

11/4/2025

Picture
We have awesome news to share… Brody is now Leo and is safely (and happily) with his forever home.  He also has a sister Lexi to play with.  Lexi might be larger than Leo, but he keeps up with her LOL!

Leo was found as a stray and had a rough beginning in rescue with a very swollen leg that was abscessed. But his foster mom Loretta did an awesome job helping Leo heal and found just the right home for Leo to live a happy and very loved life. Thank you, Loretta!

Congratulations to Leo and the Byer family!
