Rocky

3/1/2025

Rocky is home, his forever home that is!

His foster mom said, “Today I loaded you up and took a two hour drive to your new forever home where you knew sweet sister Sadie was waiting. I was so worried you would be overlooked because of your EIC but then I met your new mom Lisa in our favorite GSP group. Your new mom and I just started messaging about Sadie, leashes, behavior and other things dog people talk about back in January and never did it occur to me that they would someday be your family. Towards the end of January your mom started getting serious about finding a playmate for Sadie and even then, I didn’t think about you because you were still under vet care but then she reached out to me about dogs available and what the process was if she found one on the SEGSP site. Then she mentioned she was looking for a smaller male the light bulb finally lit up in my head and I was like wait, I have the perfect dog for you. I knew you would be a good fit because you love everything and everyone and you are so very respectful with the dogs that need their space and time to warm up to new dogs. You are such a loving gentleman that I just knew you were exactly what Sadie needed in her life. Guess what… Your mom even has experience with EIC which just proves the perfect home is always just a conversation away. Seeing you bring Sadie out of her shell today as you two chased each other slinging mud all over the yard sealed the deal and my heart filled with joy and excitement knowing I get to watch this new journey you are about to embark on because not only do you have a new family but I gained new friends and we are already talking about playdates with you and your bestie JJ McShorty. Dogs really do bring people together and make the world a better place. Enjoy your new family Rocky and remember this is not goodbye but only a see you later because you and your new family are stuck with Auntie Vicki! I love you sweet Rocky and I’m so happy for you and your new family. This house and JJ will be sad tonight without you but knowing you found the perfect family warms my heart.”
A Huge thank you to Vicki, Rocky’s foster mom, who helped him along his journey!  Congrats everyone!
