Winnie had a hard decision with so many awesome applicants, but she has chosen her forever family, the Kellers.
Her foster mom, Kristen, did an amazing job fostering her and choosing her perfect place. When asked what helped her choose, she said, “I really just wanted a family with another dog that she could play with. They sold me with the fact that they'd have plenty of space for her to run around fenced in and that their animals are their kids. They seem passionate about GSPs and she always has play dates at grandpa's house with her cousin so her and brother, Jake, will have company when her parents are away or working.” Easy to see why Emily and Kobe were chosen! Emily said, “Introducing Winnie to our family has been an absolute joy! We initially decided to adopt her to provide a friend for our boy Jake and to have a trainable puppy. From the moment we met Winnie, we knew she was one of a kind. Her love for everyone she meets, coupled with her happy-go-lucky demeanor, instantly stole our hearts. Plus, her complete disregard for personal space never fails to bring a smile to our faces—it's a quality that makes her unique and endearing. We can't wait to embark on this journey with our new furry family member! ” Wow, Winnie, it sounds like you are with an awesome family. And Kristen, thanks for fostering her. We are super grateful to you! Congrats to Gunner. He has found his forever home with Houston, a recent graduate of veterinarian school. From his dad, “I had decided that I wanted a GSP to work with after graduation since their activity level really seemed to fit my lifestyle and goals. When I saw the opportunity for a young pup in the TN region that did well with other dogs and was cute it was just a no brainer to me! So far, what I love about him is his personality and curiosity, he’s already trying to figure things out and wants to learn so much! I can’t wait to be able to take him with me on all our future hiking, camping and running trips!”
Gunner, it sounds like you have the perfect match. We couldn’t be happier for you both. We are also very grateful to his foster family, the Roofs, for helping prepare Gunner for his forever family. When you know, you know! And that’s what Max’s new mom (and former foster mom) says about feeling like max wasn’t going anywhere as soon as they met. “The very first time I held him, once he got off the plane, I could tell he was so sweet and loveable,” she said.
Kathy added, “Max loves playing with our two-year-old SEGSP alum, Emmy. He’s a very friendly dog, very smart. He can let himself in our screen door, even would push it open for our dogs. He’s housebroken and growing like a weed. He loves playing outside also, and especially, sunbathing. Max will come up to us off and on when he wants some love & gives us kisses.” You can see Emmy standing over him in one of these pics, telling him that he’s not going anywhere. What a great match they are. We are so happy for the Jants, for Emmy and for Max. Thank you so much for fostering for the rescue. Good news! Marni (FL) has wiggled her way into her ‘foster’ parents’ hearts and they are adopting her…FOREVER!
Marni spent her entire life in a kennel and was bred to hunt but was never trained due to the breeder’s health issues. Her dad Jim said, “This girl stole our hearts, and we can’t give her up. After 8 successful fosters, we broke our one rule and fell in love.” Good job Marni! Congrats Claudine and Jim! Borris has found his forever home!
From volunteer Erin, “BoBerry Biscuit went to his forever family last night - Linda and Larry Kratochwill! He’s going to have the best time with his dog siblings and horses!!!” Congratulations to Borris & his family! Hunter has a forever home!
From new mom Olivia, “Here are a few photos, the one with his paw on my arm was on our way home from picking him up, we were an instant match!! He is loving our snuggles on the couch and starting each morning off bright and early with a walk!” Sounds like he is living the dream. Congrats to all. Zoe has made herself right at home with her forever family, the Newtons. She has made friends with the barn cats and loves her big brother Ranger. Her new mom said she bonded with them immediately and stays close even in the fields. She loves riding in the side-by-side, playing with her brother and exploring the farm. She said they were originally looking for a dog about a year old, but when they saw sweet Zoe’s adorable face, they stopped their search and applied immediately.
Zoe, it sounds like you’re living a GSP’s dream life with the Newtons. We love a great happy new beginning. Congrats to all! Special thanks to her fosters, the Allen family, for taking such great care of her and for reviewing all of the awesome applications and choosing her ideal forever home. |
