More good news…Goose (TN) has found his forever home. From his new mom, “We have been following Southeast GSP for quite a while. We were excited to be considered for Goose and really wanted to add a rescue to our family, and provide a loving home. We have lots of space to roam and do all those favorite GSP things! Goose seemed like the perfect fit, young, great temperament, etc. Everyone is settling in little by little. His new brother and sister are very accepting and working to make him feel at home! Thank you so much to his foster family Andrew and Ashley! Here are a few pics of our adventures so far, barn chores, squirrel watching, treat time!”
Sounds like you’re off to a great start, Goose! Thanks so much to his foster family, the Moores, for loving and caring for him, and to the Guinane Family (recent SEGSP adopters of Rock, now Doc) for opening up their home and their yard for a meet and greet for Goose with his new family. Hanz is home! Hanz, who was fostered in TN and NC, has chosen his forever home with the Giers family. And he’s feeling right at home after his first night there.
From his dad, Jim, “My wife and I are in our 60s and we're active, but a younger dog would have more energy than we wanted to handle, so we looked for one with a few miles on him, like us. When Hanz came up, he seemed like the perfect fit. When we met him, I called his name and he came right to me and acted like we were already friends. When the trainer said that he doesn't warm up to most people right off the bat, that sealed the deal. He's only been with us for less than 24hrs and he seems perfectly at home. We may have to change his name to Hunter because that's what he seems to love to do. I think the three of us will have a great time growing old together.” We think so, too. We are thrilled for Hanz and for you both. A special thank you to Kanupp Kennels for all the training they gave Hanz. What a happy ending! Big news – Willow is HOME! From her foster mom Deanna, “Willow is officially adopted and went home with her new family, Katie, Jason and fur brother Jackson yesterday! It was a super tough decision as we had so many super applicants for Willow but we couldn’t be happier for her. She hit the jackpot and is already being spoiled!! Thank you to SEGSP Rescue for allowing us to foster. It is so rewarding seeing these pups go from scared and unsure to confident, happy and knowing they are loved!!”
Congrats Willow, Katie, Jason and Jackson! Remi has found his forever home! Sometimes a photo speaks louder than words – just look at Remi’s smile Thanks to our volunteer, Jerry (the Nature Coast Dog Trainer), in 4 weeks Remi went from a GSP with no training to a happy dog that knows his boundaries, living his best life. We are so excited for Remi and his new family and can’t wait to hear about his new adventures and all the new things his family teaches him. From his new family, ” I am so thankful to SEGSP and all of you volunteers who gave Remi a chance and for Jerry’s training talent! Thank you!”
Congratulations Remi, Bridget and James! Big news – the little guy, Zander, now named Trooper, has found his forever home! His foster mom says he will have THE LIFE with his new parents and his new brother Saint. They are the sweetest family and Trooper will be SO loved and spoiled. We know he had many applicants that wanted this guy and it was a tough decision for his foster parents and a LOT of work went into making the decision. Thank you so much Keleigh and Ben for all you’ve done for Zander, aka Trooper!!! He is sooooo lucky!
From his new parents Jenna and Brad, “We had been closely following the trials and tribulations of these 3 miracle pups since the first post on Facebook stating that they had been turned in. For some reason we were instantly drawn to little Trooper and just knew that we were gonna wind up together somehow. After weeks of following these guys and seeing them grow into healthy beautiful pups we were so happy to see their progress. Now, after knowing Trooper, there was never a chance he was going to give up. He’s such a tough little guy with all the fight in the world, sometimes to a fault lol. He loves playing with all of his toys and following us around the house. He is still on soft foods but really enjoys eating…. everything; he really keeps us on our toes! He has become a little more adventurous with the help of his brother Saint. We weren’t the least bit surprised to see his brother and sister stay exactly where they were. Thankfully (for us) Trooper’s foster parents had other plans and for that we will be forever grateful. After nursing Trooper through one of roughest starts to life a pup could have, we owe it all to his foster family, Keleigh and Ben, for getting him to where he is today. This little guy is in for a lifetime full of adventures and will likely visit his foster parents from time to time to say hello. He is the perfect snuggler with a spunky personality and we can’t wait to take him on all of the adventures.” Congratulations to Jenna, Brad, Saint and Trooper! |
