Beau (SC) Foster Dog News

Beau entered rescue in the Carolinas over the weekend after being surrendered to a vet clinic for euthanasia due to seizures. He’s roughly 4 years old, and despite not having been on any medication previously, the clinic started him on Keppra — and he has not had a single seizure since.

A huge thank-you to the compassionate team at Ambassador Animal Hospital for keeping him safe, neutering him, and bringing him up to date on vaccines. And another heartfelt thanks to Sara, a clinic staff member who graciously helped transport Beau to his foster home.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Chandler, who welcomed Beau into her home and is giving him the fresh start he deserves.

Foster Update:
Beau has a lot of anxious energy right now, which is understandable given everything he’s been through. He’s a bit nervous around the resident dog, so they’re taking introductions slowly and giving him space to decompress. He’s definitely not crate trained yet, so Chandler will be working on that along with other basic training.

But beyond those first-day jitters, Beau is an absolute sweetheart. He loves attention, is incredibly affectionate, and happily takes his medication — especially if it comes wrapped in a treat.

This boy has already shown so much resilience, and we can’t wait to watch him blossom in foster care. 

He will need 4 short weeks in rescue before being available for adoption.
