​Boone (NC)

​Boone (NC) is 2 years old and had a very rough start in rescue. He was surrendered to a shelter after his owner refused to take him back - threatening to shoot him because he wouldn’t hunt.  The shelter was able to neuter him, but after entering rescue and three days of regurgitation and vomiting, he was admitted into the emergency vet for treatment of severe gastritis. He was finally discharged and is feeling better. A very big thank you to Tristian for recognizing something was wrong and getting him into the vet ASAP.  Sadly, Boone is also heartworm positive and loaded with parasites, so he’ll be healing for four months before he’s ready for adoption. Cases like this are why we rescue!
