Cody (NC) foster dog news

Welcome to Rescue Cody!
Look at this sweet boy — he’s just waiting for someone to love him. 

Cody was surrendered with his brother to Pitt County Animal Services in NC and has patiently waited for SEGSP Rescue to secure a foster home for him. He is 2 years old and truly embodies everything we adore about German Shorthaired Pointers: big energy, a loving heart, and a joyful spirit.

Cody is unfortunately heartworm positive and will require approximately four months in foster care while he completes treatment.

Cody recently moved into a temporary foster home, which has given us wonderful insight into his personality. His foster, Kathleen, says he is beautiful, sweet, toy-loving, and has already settled down significantly after just two days. He’s done well with her resident dogs, but his enthusiastic, bounding GSP energy is simply more than her household can comfortably manage. Cody will be moving to a long-term foster when one is available, to complete his heartworm treatment also for more temperament evaluation and continued training.

Keep a look out for this boy down the road, he is going to be a heartbreaker.
