Let’s all welcome Dakota (NC) into rescue!

This sweet, petite girl is as “in your pocket” as they come. All she wants is love from everyone and to be someone’s loyal, velcro sidekick.

Dakota, 6 years old, has been an absolute gem in her foster home. She’s shown zero interest in the indoor cats—acting like she’s known them forever—and her slow introductions to the other dogs have gone wonderfully so far.

She already knows how to sit and give paw, and she’d happily let you hold that little paw all day. She’s doing great with crate training, sleeps through the night, and has had ZERO potty accidents in or out of the crate! Foster is also working on “wait” and “down,” and Dakota is proving to be both treat-motivated and very smart.

She loves her daily nature walks and exploring the property, soaking up every bit of attention and affection she can. A very big thank you to Jessica for fostering this sweet girl. She is HW positive and will need a few months in rescue.
