Hazel, aka Bandit (GA) foster dog news

Welcome to SEGSP Hazel, aka Bandit (GA)!  This pretty girl came to rescue with fleas, ticks, hookworms and whipworms.  And sadly, tested slight positive for a tick-borne disease called Elicia.  She’s doing well now; in fact, she moved from her temp foster home with Vanessa to Denise.

Denise said, “She is doing well.  She is finally feeling comfortable enough to explore the yard on her own and chase squirrels.  She goes into her crate to sleep and rest on her own (bedtime I have to tell her but for resting she is comfortable).  She has a quilt.  …We have to see if she will chew it up or not. She is a sweetie.  We are working on ‘Off’ - so she doesn't jump.  She is not a counter surfer which is good.  And she is the slowest eater! She is funny, she barks at our yard art until we show her it is not going to move.  Very Smart - tell her no one time and she listens (except for jumping).”

Thank you to both Vanessa and Denise for helping Bandit along her rescue journey! Bandit will be spayed soon and once she’s cleared of those nasty worms, and her foster mom feels she knows Bandit’s temperament and what type of family she needs, Bandit will then be ready for adoption.
