Johnny (MS, 8 yo) foster dog news

Johnny’s journey now includes finding his voice and, of course, healing.  Sweet Johnny (8 yo, MS) had his first heartworm treatment injection on Friday — a big milestone on his road to recovery! His foster mom, MaryAsa, shared that Johnny found his bark this week — and it’s just as gentle and endearing as he is. 


Johnny loves car rides, swimming, and resting his head in your lap for pets and attention. He came to rescue alongside his best friend June (now looking for her forever home on our website) after a Good Samaritan witnessed both dogs being thrown over a bridge and brought them safely to an Alabama shelter.


A huge thank you to MaryAsa, who is giving Johnny the love and care he’s always deserved. He has two more months of heartworm treatment before he’ll be ready to find his forever family — and we can’t wait to see him happy in his forever home.
