Maggie (GA, 5 yo) foster dog news

Maggie (GA, 5 yo) has truly been a blessing to her foster family.

Her foster mom, Angela, shared this beautiful update: “She has been so good for Gus (formerly Odin), and also good for me, following my mom’s death in June. Gus has been suffering from idiopathic epilepsy for two years. Prescription medications, supplements, dietary changes, and even visits to four different vets did little to control his seizures. On the advice of a TCVM vet, we tried fostering ‘a young female’—our Maggie. I’m thrilled to say that Gus hasn’t had a seizure in over five months. They are best friends, playing and sleeping together nonstop.”

Maggie came to rescue in August after being abandoned, weighing just 31 pounds and heartworm positive. Since then, she’s been spayed and has successfully completed her heartworm treatment (yay, Maggie! ). While we’d normally say she’s ready to begin her search for a forever home… we have a feeling that search may already be over. We can’t wait for the official announcement.

And GOOD BOY, SEGSP alum Gus!!! We are so proud and beyond happy that you’ve been seizure-free - with a little help from your very special girl, Maggie.
