Moose

We are heartbroken to share the passing of our 2020 alumnus, Moose. Moose was fostered by our AL/MS Volunteer Coordinator, Cheyenne (and Joshua), and went on to be adopted in 2021 by his wonderful forever family.

Moose came to SEGSP as a stray, heartworm positive, about 7 years old, severely emaciated, and terrified of everyone and everything. But with patience, kindness, and unwavering love from his foster family, Moose began to heal. He gained weight, found his confidence, and learned just how good life could be.

Thanks to that foundation of love, Moose found his forever family and spent five beautiful years living in absolute comfort and happiness. He discovered the joy of a comfy couch, the excitement of his own yard, and - true to form - never lost his enthusiasm for barking at the mailman. Most importantly, Moose learned that he was safe and deeply loved… forever.

We take comfort in imagining Moose now, whole and happy, chasing critters at the Rainbow Bridge. Run free, sweet boy.
