Annie (TN) Foster Dog News

We continue to be so proud of the progress 15-month-old Annie is making in foster care.
When Annie first arrived, she had a lot of changes to process and some new routines to learn. Thanks to the patience and consistency of her foster mom, Dalene, she continues to get more and more comfortable each day.
One of our biggest wins? Annie has now gone many, many days without an accident in the house! We feel like we’ve truly turned a corner there, and we couldn’t be happier for her.
She’s also begun training on the electric fence and is doing pretty well. The beeping noise seems to leave her a little confused at times, but we’re confident she’ll figure it out. Annie is a smart girl, after all. Smart, incredibly sweet, and carrying just the right amount of sass to keep things interesting.
When she’s not working on her training, Annie loves exploring the yard and investigating every scent she can find. Field critters are definitely high on her list of interests, and she could spend hours sniffing around to see who has passed through.
And in this photo, Annie is enjoying one of her favorite things - a nice tub of water! We recently learned that Annie is actually a big swimmer. We are excited to safely introduce her to more swimming opportunities in foster care soon and see that side of her personality shine.
Every update brings a little more confidence, a little more joy, and a little more of Annie's true personality. Annie will remain in foster care for another couple of weeks while we continue helping her build confidence, reinforce her training, and learn more about her personality and needs. Once that process is complete, we'll begin making decisions about the forever home that will be the best fit for this sweet, smart, water-loving girl.
We can't wait to see what she accomplishes next.
