Braun (AL) - Foster Dog News

Braun (AL, 3 yo, 57 lbs.) is settling in beautifully at this foster home. We received this update from his foster dad Dave:

“It’s hard to believe it has been 14 days since Braun’s freedom ride. Despite all the rain during the 14 days, he is making progress. He sleeps in his kennel all night without a peep. We are feeding him in his kennel, and he is learning it is a safe place. We only had one accident in the house on day 3….it was our mistake not his. His cadence of going out is helping reinforce “go potty”.

Recall is still a challenge as is pulling on a lead. That is now our main focus.  This boy has a strong prey drive. In the picture below, you will see him locked in on a lizard. Braun will stare him down for 30 minutes +. He is obsessed! His mornings begin at the window watching the squirrels on the bird feeder. When he lets one of his big boy barks out, we love it. Braun can go from 110 mph to asleep in minutes. He is learning place and has learned sit and kennel.

Baby steps, but he is making progress. The boys love having him here and Braun seems to like as well. More to come…”
