Dottie (SC) - Foster Dog News

This sweet girl is continuing to settle in beautifully, and she has already stolen our hearts. Dottie was found as a stray in the Charleston area and is around 4 years old. 

Today, Dottie got a bath and handled it like an absolute champ. She stayed calm, relaxed, and was so easygoing throughout the entire process.

Her foster mom said the resident dog, Luna, is still a little unsure—and that’s through no fault of Dottie’s. The girls are navigating everything wonderfully. 

Last night, they slept side by side in their own beds. This morning, I woke up to find Dottie had quietly crawled into Luna’s bed. 

She is truly the sweetest girl. It’s also pretty clear she’s used to sleeping under the covers—she takes every opportunity to try to sneak into the bed! It’s taking every bit of my self-control to redirect her back to her dog bed. 

Today she’s much calmer, spending her time napping, relaxing, and just taking everything in.

She is absolutely gorgeous inside and out, and we are so excited to welcome Dottie into rescue. We can’t wait to watch her confidence continue to grow as she starts the next chapter of her journey. ​
