HAppy Gilmore - SC - Foster Dog News

This very sweet boy officially joined us today in SC — and yes, his name is Happy Gilmore 

Happy is about 3 years old, an unaltered male, weighing around 40 pounds. He already knows sit and paw, and his gentle personality has completely won us over. He’s been great with our pups and is incredibly sweet.

Like many dogs coming into rescue, Happy needs a little TLC. He’s heartworm negative (great news!) but did test positive for hookworms, which we’re addressing. He also has some sores and wounds on his right hip and thigh, so he’ll be getting the care he needs to heal.

Today included a good walk, dinner, and a nice warm bath — and we’re pretty sure he enjoyed every bit of it  As you can see, he’s already settling in nicely.

Happy will need to be neutered and complete a four-week temperament evaluation before he’s ready for adoption, but we’re excited to get to know him better and help him on his journey.
