Harper (NC,3 YO) - Foster Dog News

Welcome to our rescue Ms. Harper (aka Marigold, NC, 3 yo)!  Sadly, Harper’s owner passed away, and she was put in the county shelter. But luckily the Second Chance Rescue found out about her and contacted SEGSP (thank you).

Her foster mom said, “She is decompressing and getting comfortable.  She had a 2 hour nap in the crate with no issues.  She ate well, had zero accidents in the house then went to bed in her crate about 9:45pm and was let out at 8:15am.  She was all tail wags and no accidents overnight. She is an absolute sweetheart.”

Ms. Harper is unfortunately heartworm positive so will be in rescue for at least 4 months while she heals. She’ll also need to be spayed and gain more weight (she wasn’t eating at the shelter).

Harper will be going to see the vet soon, so we’ll have another update once she’s had her exam.  Thank you so much to Amy for fostering Harper along her rescue journey.
