Harry (TN, 7 yo) - Foster Dog News

Welcome to SEGSP, Harry (TN, 7 yo)! Harry may be almost 8 years old, but you’d never know it – the vet even said he hasn’t aged like it! This sweet boy is full of spunk, energy, and life. He’s healthy, happy, and ready to soak up every moment.
We are so grateful to first-time SEGSP fosters, the Dugans, and their GSP Kinley for welcoming Harry into their home. With plenty of land to explore, Kinley’s playful energy, and Harry’s love of fetch, we have a feeling he’ll slim down and stay in tip-top shape in no time!

Harry is neutered, has a loving, loyal personality and has just the right amount of “Velcro dog” in him.  He enjoys being near his people but is also happy to explore the yard and follow all the interesting scents. He loves people, does well with other dogs (though he’s more people-focused), and is even good with cats.

Some of Harry’s favorite things:
-Tennis balls (he’s a fetch pro—returns and drops like a champ!)
- Exploring outside and chewing on sticks
-Toys—though he’ll need tough ones indoors because he will try to destroy them
-Being near his people (he thinks he is a lapdog)

Harry is house trained, uses a doggie door, and is well behaved. He quickly learned outdoor boundaries, does great off leash, comes when called, and truly wants to please. He responds well to gentle corrections and is settling in beautifully. He’ll be in foster care for about a month before he begins searching for his forever home and we already know he’s going to make someone incredibly lucky.

One of our favorite things about Harry is the way he is marked. It almost looks like he has the  emoji on his side.  We love it!!

Welcome to rescue life, Harry - we’re so glad you’re here!
