LouLou (TN) - Foster Dog News

Y’all, LouLou has blossomed in rescue in Tennessee.

When this sweet 2-year-old girl first arrived, she was so timid that she barely wanted to leave the safety of her crate. Fast forward a few weeks, and her foster dad, Ed, says she has officially leaned ALL the way into family-dog life. She loves affection, loves being part of the action…and apparently has the energy of a mountain lion.  Exercise might as well be her middle name!
LouLou absolutely loves running and exploring in the yard, and she mastered the doggy door within just a couple of days. She had her spay surgery this past week, so Ed has been tasked with keeping our resident mountain lion calm while she heals. As you can imagine, that has been quite the feat! 
Next week, LouLou will have her stitches removed, and we’re also hoping and praying for a negative heartworm test. Please send some happy thoughts and prayers her way!  Once we know more about her health status, we can start thinking about what her perfect forever home might look like.
We also owe a big THANK YOU to the Madison family, who stepped in to temporarily foster LouLou while some construction was happening at Ed’s home. She got along wonderfully with all of their dogs, and they said she was the most polite and perfect little houseguest. 
We are just so pleased with how well this girl is doing. Watching LouLou go from hiding in her crate to embracing affection, adventure and family life has been pretty special. Keep blossoming, sweet girl!
