Luna - FL - Foster Dog News

Great news to start the day… Luna (FL, 1 yo, 42 lbs.) is heartworm NEGATIVE! 

Luna is working on some anxiety and her foster mom, Lisa, is working with trainer Vicki Sue Debord to help Luna learn it’s safe to eat without someone sitting with her. It’s believed to be fear-based reactivity so perhaps she had some repeated head trauma in her life before rescue. She no longer growls when someone reaches above her head, she now just cowers. She is on some anti-anxiety meds, and we hope those will start working soon. Some good news is that she is now crate-trained (her safe space) and has started to play with toys within the last couple weeks. Her favorites are her squeaky hamburger and her stuffed crinkly pheasant.
