Pixie - NC - Foster Dog News

Pixie (NC) is finally heartworm-free, healthy and happy!  YAY Pixie!

Her foster mom Crystal said that it’s possible she won’t be going anywhere… it’s hard for her to imagine her leaving their house.  And added, “She is the sweetest girl although she is still very cautious and scared of new people and anything new or different in her environment. Not sure what she experienced before coming to us, but she is always on high alert.    We celebrate small victories of her becoming more relaxed in our home each day.  When she settles down, she is very loving and loves to cuddle at nighttime. Pixie is becoming more aware of treats and is starting to look for them when coming in from outside or going in her crate. She loves to be outside running and playing but is also good to curl up in her favorite chair for a nap. She doesn’t require being crated, she has been left alone in the home and never bothers a thing nor has accidents.   However, when we leave both dogs at home alone we do crate her which she doesn’t mind at all.”

We love seeing Pixie’s progress in rescue!  Thank you, Crystal, for everything you’re doing for her. We look forward to hearing Pixie’s decision about her forever home…
