Sally aka Cora (NC) - Foster Dog news

Sweet Sally had a big week and we wanted to share an update from her foster home in North Carolina!


Sally went in for her spay surgery and did great. The vet now estimates she’s about 6 years old based on her uterus and teeth. While she was under, the team discovered that her dental needs are more extensive than expected, so her tooth extractions will need to happen during a separate procedure in a couple of weeks. She’ll be heading back soon to have two molars removed so she can feel her very best.


Despite everything she’s been through, Sally continues to show what a special girl she is. She’s incredibly sweet and very “Velcro,” happily following her foster around everywhere. She’s doing great in her crate, handled her nail Dremel like a champ, and only makes a little peep when it’s feeding time.


She had a few tummy troubles earlier in the week, but with some nausea medication and prescription food she’s feeling much better and even playing a little ball again.


While she’s still taking it easy with the other dogs, she’s starting to warm up and now lets Henry (Waylon ’25) lay all over her. In fact, Henry has been very concerned about his friend and has been staying close by while she recovers.
