Belle Flor (AL)

Hi Humans, my name is Belle (aka Belle Flor, 7 yo) and there’s a reason for that name… I’m beautiful like a flower. My foster mom agrees and says I’m a very sweet girl.  
She also brags that I do well on leash with a pinch collar and calmly stands to get my collar and leash to go outside (I LOVE walks). I don’t rush out of my crate or kennel when the door is opened – there’s no rush.  I came from a plantation where I was used for hunting and breeding.  Sadly, my past life hasn’t been great… I’ve been hit in the past so I’m a bit shy with fast hand movements and I’m afraid of sticks, brooms, etc. Hopefully I’ll get over that phobia with time and a lot of love.
I’m a very good girl and am well behaved in my kennel and I don’t potty there as long as I’m given the opportunity to go outside on grass. I like other dogs and so far, I’m really not interested in the cat that hangs out with the humans.  
So far my life has completely turned around thanks to SEGSP and especially my foster mom Marla. She wants to add: “Belle is the most gentle and loving girl.  She has a heart of gold.  She has recovered from being a kennel kept brood bitch and has adapted to the good life quickly.  She is house and crate trained, comes, waits and walks on leash very well with a pinch collar.  Once she understands what is asked of her, she tries her best to do it. She loves soft beds, chew bones, treats and most of all petting.   Belle is calm but barks when people or strange dogs come to the door. She is healthy, heartworm free and has been spayed.  She is approximately 8 years old.  She loves children and likes other dogs. So far she has ignored the cat.  She does have prey drive so chickens or other fowl are a no for her. She is not gun-shy nor afraid of storms. She is in good condition and could be a walking or jogging companion.”
