Good Day, My formal name is Brittany, but my foster Mom calls me either Brittany-Lou-Who or Mountain Momma depending on her mood (or mine). I am currently in Alabama and am searching for my forever home (not that I don’t LOVE my foster home).
I am a super sweet high energy typical GSP. If you don’t know what a typical GSP is then I may not be the one for you LOL! I’m less than 2 years old but I’m catching up on my puppyhood since I had babies early in life and was tossed around a bit. I was born on May 29, 2018 in East Tennessee and got pregnant before I turned one (that would be 7 in human years – can you imagine?!). My owner gave me away because I was pregnant, and I bounced around a bit then found a Good Samaritan who rescued me, helped me with my puppies and then contacted SEGSP.
I love other dogs, in fact I would prefer a home with another really hyper dog to play with. You see, no matter how fast a human thinks they are, you will never be able to run fast enough or far enough to wear me out. But another dog could! I currently live with a foster brother and sister GSP and we have lots of fun!
I love all humans, but my foster Mom says that I would knock the small ones down accidentally with all of my exuberance for life - so I need a home with bigger humans. But I love people so the more bigger humans that don't fall down easily, the better!
Not to brag, but I’m super smart and I’ve quickly learned basic manners, sit, I’m house and crate trained, and I sit like a Lady for bath time. I also do great walking on a leash with my Foster Mom and siblings. I do have a “fun” streak and love to steal my foster brother’s “ball baby” which leads to a big game of 3-way-GSP-chase.
I recently attended my first day of doggie daycare and LOVED it. If I didn’t have a hyper, fun canine sibling to play with and could go to something like that a few times a week I would LOVE IT! Did I mention I also like cats? Even though I’m awesome with other animals, I would be okay to be the only snuggle buddy – as long as you paid attention to me and played with m…a lot.
I think I said I’m a typical GSP so that means if I’m bored I’ll probably get in trouble so my Foster Mom says I should be kenneled if no human is at home (like when my foster Mom found her shoe on the table). But I’m okay if I’m kenneled although I would prefer if you took me with you or if you just stayed home. I love my humans – a LOT! Again, a typical GSP…
My Foster Mom says at times I’m more behaved than my 2 foster sibling GSPs but I have my moments like all GSPs. She says I will make any active household a very good dog. She says it's like I’m just now learning how to interact with dogs and people. But of course I’m super sweet and affectionate, so there’s that…
If you think I might be the one for you, please complete an adoption application (if you haven’t already) and email my foster Mom Sandra at firstname.lastname@example.org
P.S. I am fully vetted, spayed and temperament tested (and I’m smart and cute) so my adoption fee is $375.
