Bella Blue - FL

Hi there, my name is Bella Blue and I’m currently in Florida.  My foster family calls me Bellareeni, and I’m very well-behaved. Word has it I’m the sweetest old girl you will ever meet. I’m 12 years old and thriving. Like, seriously thriving! I LOVE to play with my much younger foster siblings and I’d love to have forever canine siblings for sure.

Although I came to rescue from a sad situation and was grieving the loss of my dad who passed away at age 93, my foster parents and foster GSP siblings are giving me lots of love to help ease the pain.   I am resilient, and I know there is forever love out there for me. I’m looking for a forever human that would love to play with me but will also pamper me with cuddling and petting me. And if you forget, I’ll remind you with a gentle pat of my paw (don’t worry, it won’t hurt…it’s just a love nudge).

Besides my other awesome traits, I also have a high prey drive and will spend all my time, if you let me, outside hunting anything I see.  Squirrels and lizards have nothing on me – they are so fun to chase.   Another thing about me… I’m not a fan of the cold, so I will need a fuzzy jacket (it HAS to be fluffy though because well, I’m a girl through and through).

I’m super smart and my recall is excellent (I love humans so of course I come back to you), and I love to go on our daily walks to hunt lizards and birds. I’m 100% potty trained (of course), however, I’m on medication, taken once a day, to help me with a urinary issue (my foster mom will explain but it’s no big deal). I’m also taking daily supplements for my joints (just like humans do in their older years) and they really work so I’m not in pain.

My perfect home ranges from a semi-active family that enjoys having their dog (me) with them regularly (whoa would that be awesome), to someone that is not as active but is willing to cuddle, love me, and let me hunt out back for a while.  Quite the range, I know. I’m hoping to find a family that has it all, but the most important thing is the “love me” part. That’s an absolute requirement.

My foster mom says that anyone who adopts “this sweet girl” will be unbelievably blessed.  I happen to know that if you adopt me, then I will also be blessed.

If you’ve made it this far in my bio and you’re interested in all this sweetness, please complete an adoption application (if you haven’t already), then email my foster mom Allyson at allysonwc@yahoo.com

The rescue gals say that my adoption fee is only $187.50 because I'm sweet (not really, it's because I'm a senior).  SUCH A DEAL!
