Hello! My foster dad calls me Stella Artois but you can call me Stelle. I was found walking the streets in South Florida, but these really nice folks picked me up and saved me! When I came into rescue, I was a hot mess, but I can’t wait for you to see me now. They tell me I’m about 12 years old, but I think they are crazy – I sure don’t feel like 12 and I DEFINITELY don’t act 12 (more like 5).
My foster parents have been taking awesome care of me. I had to spend some time at the vets office to get all fixed up, but now I’m as good as new (better maybe!). My doctors have cleared me and say I’m ready to live life to the fullest again.
So…. What do I like to do? Well…I LOVE to take walks every day, play a little, nap a little (while you work so I’m ready to play again when you get home), eat a little, and then hopefully another walk to end the day. If you do these things for me, I’ll show you what it’s like to have a personal assistant and a best friend. I’m fantastic at home while you work (I don’t even have to be crated). As a matter of fact, I feel much more comfortable in my own bed instead of being in a crate. I’m very mature you know and would much rather be able to keep the house safe while you’re gone.
I’ve learned SO MUCH in foster care. I have learned to have my 3 meals a day and I will eat on time every time. I won’t go into your bed or sofa without asking. Also, I won’t take your human food unless you share with me. My foster family taught me a 2nd language which I’ve learned very fast, and I am ready to learn a 3rd if you want. I will follow you after some training. I love kids!!! (any age, but SEGSP requires them to be over 6). I love dogs!!! I love to play with my older GSP foster siblings. I am not sure about cats though since I haven’t been with any. I am learning car rides, I am doing much better but I might need a doggie seatbelt just to keep me out of your lap since my preferred place is on your lap. I know my commands: sit, stay, go to your bed and go to the house in 2 languages!! I have learned that ducks are friends not toys.
My perfect family will be active that love to go hiking, walking, trekking, camping or other doggie outdoor activities. I love kids. They are my perfect partners on crime or/and sibling doggies. I would prefer a family that has a family member who works from home or stay at home mostly all the time (or maybe even take me to work - My foster dad did that a few times and I love bossing all the people around, but I’ll also lay quietly while you work). I have a lot of love to give and I really want my humans by my side.
If you think I’m the right lady for you, please submit an adoption application and e-mail my foster mom and dad to set up a phone call. I’m heartworm negative, up to date on all my shots and a STEAL as a senior at only $187.50.
