Peanut AKA Bubba - FL

3/9/2023

Hi, my name is Peanut (AKA Bubba).  I am a big boy weighing in at 76 pounds, but everybody I meet says how sweet I am.  My foster Mom and the vet think I am about 3 years old because my teeth are in great shape. Keep on flossing!

I don’t remember how, but I got lost on the streets of Miami and was taken to the shelter.  My foster Mom drove all the way from the Keys to get me.  Now I am living the life in Torch Key.  Lucky me, it so beautiful here in the Florida Keys.

I wasn’t so sure at first, the whole car thing, but I had a nice quiet ride in my crate, and when I got here and met my foster Dad and foster fur-sister I knew it was worth it.  I still can be hesitant about getting in the car, but once in, I am good for the ride.

I am really laid back for a GSP, must be my other half, I would prefer to be on the couch than running around in the yard with my sister.  My fur sister and I play tug of war for hours on end.  I love chew toys and especially marrow bones.

I don’t have a problem getting along with other dogs, but I haven’t met any cats, so I not so sure about them.  They are kind of funny looking.  Because I am a big boy, probably better to have a home with older children.

Although I don’t walk on the leash very often, I know not to try to drag Mom or Dad down the stairs or the street.  Mom says I may get to go to obedience school in my fur ever home.

My foster Mom keeps helping me with my basic commands like sit and wait (for food and at the door) as long as she doesn’t run out of my favorite liver treats, I play along with her.

I am trying really hard to resist those people treats that are on the counter and table, but they smell soooo good and I do love food, so temptation gets the best of me sometimes.

After a full day of resisting those smells, and playing with Mom and my sister, I am really ready to be a typical velcro GSP and hang out with the rest of the family.  I am up to date on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped.  My adoption fee is $375.00.

Can you find room for me in your heart and home, please email my foster Mom. leonesam@live.com and you can also fill out an adoption application on our website.
