Meet Thunder: The Big, Sweet Adventure Buddy!
Thunder is a beautiful 8-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) with a heart as big as his personality. Found as a stray, he has spent the last few months flourishing in his foster home. He’s the perfect mix of independent and loving—not quite a "Velcro dog," but he definitely wants to be wherever the action is.
This handsome boy is a quick learner who already knows "sit," "stay," "kennel," and "place." He’s currently working on clicker and e-collar training, though his outdoor recall is still a work in progress (he likes to do a "drive-by" before coming back!). True to his breed, he’s got a high prey drive and will "talk" to every squirrel and rabbit he sees.
Thunder is a social guy who wants to meet every dog and person he encounters. He loves his toys and thrives on playtime with his foster siblings. Because he’s still a puppy, he’s house-trained but can still have an accident and needs a family that can provide consistent reinforcement and supervised time.
Ideal Home:
·         An active family that spends lots of time outdoors.
·         A home with a fenced yard is a must.
·         Someone who is home most of the day to continue his training.
·         Children aged 6 and up (due to his puppy energy).
·         No cats (he hasn't been tested yet).
Thunder is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. He is currently intact due to his age; his adoption fee includes a $200 refund once his neuter is complete. His adoption fee is $800.
