Good Day. My formal name is Rex, but my foster dad calls me "Breeze" because of how fast I am and how beautiful my running strides are. I am currently living in Buford, Georgia and am searching for my forever home (not that I don't LOVE my foster home). I am a high- energy GSP and most protective and loyal to my human. If you have never had a GSP, you need to do your research because I only have one speed. I was heartworm positive when I arrived with my foster dad back in May but have recently successfully completed treatment! That treatment required me to be on "extended bed rest" all summer and I’m ready to get back to my active lifestyle.
I get along very well with my foster brother who is a 90 lb, 2.5 year old Labrador Retriever and my foster siblings before him however, it takes me a minute to take to other dogs and if I have to share you, I would prefer it be with another hyper dog who can keep up.
I love all humans but, I could accidentally knock over small humans as I sometimes get so excited about getting to run, I may not pay attention to doors, walls, chairs or humans 😊
Not to brag but I used to be "runner" and didn’t want to come to my foster dad when he called me. His training paid off and I now have a solid recall and come to him when he calls. I love to go for walks, runs and most of all I love to eat!!!
As I said earlier, I'm a typical GSP so that means if I'm bored, I could get in to trouble so I need to be supervised and have been known to counter surf. My foster dad typically leaves me out of the crate when he runs to work or has errands that I can’t go with him on. He’s never had to worry about me having an accident inside the house either - 5 months and I'm still "PERFECT"!
I am fully vetted, neutered and my adoption fee is $375. If you think I may be the one for you, please complete an adoption application (if you haven't already) and email my foster dad Earl.
PS: Did I say that you will never have a more loving and loyal animal than yours truly?
