Hi! I’m Cooper! I’m 8 months old and currently fostered in NC. I’ve had a great time in my foster home learning all sorts of new things, but now I am looking for my forever family!
My foster mom says I am a “busy, silly, puppy”...and you know what? She’s right! I AM busy, I love to play, I love to explore, and I LOVE to learn new things. My very favorite thing ever is to play fetch, so I would really love a big, fenced yard to run in...maybe with some birds to point? I’m a very social fella, so I would love another playful, young dog to hang with. I love car rides to anywhere, especially to places that have fun things to do, so I think a family that would like to take me places would be awesome. I do know my manners when I go visiting and meeting new people is super fun; my foster mom is so proud of how polite and brave I am. Did I mention cuddles? I’m gonna need some of those too, but only after I’m all tuckered out from playing.
I don’t mind sleeping in my crate at night as long as I am close to you, but I don’t like it much during the day. I’m practicing with that, but it’s hard to be separated, so I think someone who can be home with me a lot is pretty important….besides who wants to be away from a pup as fabulous as me? I’ve learned my basic commands, I can walk nicely on a leash with a front-clip harness and I practice everyday with a regular leash and collar. I know my house manners too...like you shouldn’t run too much or use the furniture as a jungle gym or jump on the counters (that one is really hard) and I know to do my business outside.
Well, that’s all about me! My perfect forever home will have a fence, another young and playful dog, no kids under 6 (I’m very bouncy) and a family that wants to spend lots of time with me and teach me new things.
From my foster mom: Cooper is your typical GSP puppy. He is a busy guy who needs boundaries, new learning adventures, and lots of love. He has come a long way with me and will need someone who is willing to continue his training. He loves to learn new tricks and is eager to please; but he IS a puppy, so he needs a patient family willing to puppy proof and correct him when he does “puppy-type” things. He has a great play drive, is fearless and very social with all people and dogs, but no cats or other small animals. If you feel you are the perfect family for me, fill out an adoption application (if you haven’t already). Cooper is under 1 yr old, unaltered, healthy and up to date on his vaccinations, so his adoption fee is $575 with $100 refunded once he is neutered.
