Dolly (who may blossom with a new name) is an approximately 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who came to us as an owner surrender and has quickly proven herself to be a truly special girl. She is sweet, affectionate, and the definition of a Velcro pointer—she wants to be right by her person’s side whenever possible.

She is heartworm negative, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Dolly does wonderfully in the home with no behavioral issues. She is non-aggressive, great on leash, comes when called, and responds well to gentle, consistent guidance. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and would love a home with a canine sibling to keep her company.

Dolly’s only challenge is being left alone. She does not do well with crates and struggles with separation, which is likely tied to a lack of structure and reassurance earlier in life. With companionship, patience, and continued guidance, she thrives.

She’s a genuinely good dog who simply needed direction, consistency, and someone willing to meet her where she is. In the right home, Dolly will be an incredibly loyal, loving companion.
