It’s the day y’all have been waiting for, I’m finally ready to find my forever family. Hi for those that don’t know me I’m Kyle, but my foster family calls me Maverick and that’s what I listen to most days. I’m about 1 1/2 years old and I’m a liver and white German Shorthair Pointer. I’ve had a rough go of it in this short period of time. I’ve battled and beat heart worms, overcome a back injury and now recovering from my neuter but it’s all worth it to finally find my dream home.

I’m a sweet happy boy that just wants to play all day and sleep with my humans at night. I can be trusted out in the house; have zero anxiety and I love everyone once I get to know them. I’m still a puppy so will need continued training once I find my forever home. My foster mom says I’m one of a kind, she laughs when she says so I’m guessing that’s a good thing. I’m completely house trained and will go to the door when I want out. I can be trusted outside but my foster mom still goes out with me every single time. I’ve been getting curious about the fence, and she is constantly telling me off when I put my paws on it, I’m just being nosy it’s not like I’m gonna jump it but she’s the boss.

I love to carry toys around and I’ll tear them up, but I don’t eat them, and I never touch my human’s things. I will put my paws on the counter to be nosy, but I hear that off word so much that I’m sick of it, so I don’t bother most of the time anymore. I am kennel trained and I’m quiet as a mouse while I’m in it even though I’m rarely in it anymore. My bossy foster mom says it’s important to keep me use to it in case I ever have to stay at the vet which I did for my neuter and the vet said I was the best boy and just slept until surgery time and of course slept after thanks to those happy drugs they gave me.

I’m working on leash manners but will still need training as I’m so curious about the world. One thing I must have is a cozy cave, that’s where I prefer to sleep even though my foster mom doesn’t mind me in the bed, I just like my own space but it has to be a cozy cave, I don’t like those other beds. If the cozy caves are full of my foster siblings, my foster mom says I give her sad puppy eyes till she makes my foster siblings get out so I can get in. This helps me sleep through the night like a good boy.

I like car rides for the most part, but I do drool sometimes. I’m great at the vet, I’m growly when I’m on leash and meet other dogs but we are working on this, when I’m not restricted by a leash, I love everyone. I love to snuggle and hug my foster mom and my foster brother Fatty McFatterson is my best friend and I enjoy taking naps with him and snuggling with him so another dog in the house for me to play with would be ideal. 

I’m a happy boy with no health issues or major behavioral issues. I am UTD on vaccines, neutered and microchipped so my adoption fee is $375.
