Meet Jaxson, a handsome 5-year-old neutered German Shorthaired Pointer/Lab or Hound mix weighing approximately 63 pounds. This intelligent, affectionate boy is looking for an active home where he can put his energy and natural hunting instincts to good use while enjoying plenty of love and companionship.
Jaxson has been in foster care for the past several months after his previous owner could no longer care for him. His foster family has worked hard to give him stability but has realized he would be happiest in a home better suited to his activity level and instincts.

Jaxson is:

• Extremely intelligent
• High-energy and athletic

• Friendly with people and other dogs
• Independent outdoors but loves to cuddle and relax in his bed at night

He has a very strong prey drive and loves tracking scents, chasing squirrels, moles, deer, and other wildlife. Once he's on a scent, it's hard to get his attention—just what you'd expect from a dog bred to hunt.
