🐾 Meet Oakley! 🐾
📍 Ft. White, Florida
Oakley is a beautiful 1-year-10-month-old, 47.6-lb female German Shorthaired Pointer looking for an active forever home where she can get the exercise, companionship, and quality time she needs to thrive. ❤️
Oakley is a loving, loyal, high-energy girl who wants nothing more than to be with her person. She has tremendous potential and would make a wonderful companion for an active family, runner, outdoor enthusiast, or someone interested in continuing her development as a bird dog or farm dog.
Oakley's family is looking to rehome her because they recently moved to a smaller property and can no longer provide the space and lifestyle she needs.

🐕 Dogs, cats & kids:
Oakley has lived with cats and loves them. She has group up around children and currently lives with a 5 year old whom she adores. Oakley has been exposed to  other animals when she was younger, although she has not had much recent exposure. She can be shy around new animals and would benefit from patient introductions and continued socialization.
Oakley loves chewing on bones and some toys, particularly when she's bored, so providing plenty of exercise, enrichment, and appropriate chew toys will be important.
She can occasionally be bothered by loud noises, but her family believes this is something that could improve with patience and positive training.
🏡 Oakley's ideal home:
Oakley needs an active home with plenty of opportunities to run and exercise. A family who enjoys hiking, running, hunting, training, or other outdoor activities would be a great match.
Just as important as physical exercise, Oakley needs quality time with her people every day. She wants to be part of the family and would thrive with someone who has the time and commitment to help her reach her full potential.
With the right home, training, exercise, and attention, Oakley has so much potential. She could excel as an active family companion, bird dog, farm dog, or simply the adventure buddy you've been looking for. ❤️
Her current family believes she deserves more time and attention than they are currently able to give her, and they want to find her a home where she can truly flourish.
