Meet Sassy and Duke, a wonderful pair of Weimaraner/Pointer mixes looking for a loving new home due to their owner's health issues. They were adopted from the Panola County Humane Society in December 2024 and have been well cared for. Their family is hoping to find an active home where they can continue to thrive.
About Sassy

Personality:
Sassy is a happy, energetic girl who loves being active and spending time with her people. She gets along well with children, dogs, and cats. Like many dogs, she has her own little quirks—her owner says that when she's upset, she may have an accident on the floor.

Personality:
Duke is the calmer half of the pair. He's laid-back, affectionate, and loves being with his family. He is afraid of thunderstorms and appreciates a safe, comforting place to relax during storms.
Duke does well with children and other dogs but should not be placed in a home with cats, as he does not get along with them.

Both dogs are:

• House-trained
• Crate-trained
• Familiar with basic commands

Behavior

• No bite history
• Duke is frightened by thunderstorms.
• Sassy may occasionally have an accident indoors when stressed or upset.

Ideal Home
Sassy and Duke would do best in an active home where they receive plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship. They have been living together and would love to stay together if possible, though the right placement is the priority.
Their current owner is rehoming them only because of personal health issues and hopes they will find a family that will love them as much as they have.
