SEGSP Rescue is posting these dogs as a courtesy and therefore does not vouch for the health, temperament or spay/neuter status of these pets. Please send any inquiries about these dogs directly to the contact listed at the bottom of the dog's write-up. They will have their own requirements, application process and fees independent of SEGSP Rescue.

Hi, I’m Luger!

I’m an active 10-year-old male GSP who loves to run and point birds, bugs, lizards and frogs. I know how to sit, heel, come here and play fetch. I can be your best bud while bird hunting, but I haven’t gotten the chance to go in a while.
Right now I’m living on a farm where I enjoy playing outside all day and have grown accustomed to being around livestock, but I need a safe barrier between me and chickens if there are any! I sure do love to point and hunt those birds. I have a few other doggy friends on the farm, but I don’t get along so well with the boys since I like to be the big man on campus. The girls and I get along just fine though! By evening time I am ready to come inside to eat and snuggle into my bed for the night so we can play again tomorrow. Do not disturb me please!
I’m a pretty brave guy, but unfortunately little kids make me nervous, so a home without children is best for me.
My family has loved me for a whole decade and still does, but as life has gone on and the family has grown, they think it’s best for me to find another family to love me too. I’d love a home with someone who understands I’m an aging guy and need a little peace and quiet every now and then, but still love a good head scratch. I am not neutered and am up to date on all my vaccines, as well as flea, tick and heartworm meds.
