Hi, my name is Cleo! I am a beautiful 50 pound, 10-year-old GSP who loves to swim, play and cuddle. My parents adore me but it turns out, I don’t like young children (they are way too unpredictable), and wouldn’t you know it, they just had a baby! They are heartbroken, but since they are having a hard time keeping my cute self and the baby separated, we sat down together and decided to find a new home for me with no kids under 10-years-old. Would that be with you? Currently, I am with Grandma, and we have so much fun together, but she now has to move so I'm scared of what's next and hoping it's to move in with you.

Overall, I am a very loving, sweet and playful buddy to have by your side. I’m a classic Velcro GSP; I want to be with my people as much as possible. I am a big fan of going on walks, playing fetch, chasing four wheelers, swimming and running around my parents’ farm - you’d never know I was a senior!  I also love to stalk critters. I’m not trained to hunt but I’ll bet I would catch on fast…I can point with the best of them!  And I’m not the least bit gun-shy!

Most of all though, I love to cuddle with you on the couch and especially sleep in bed with you if you will let me. If not, I’m OK with that too. And guess what? I’m fearless; you can let me wander around when you leave the house for a few hours. I won’t get up to any mischief. I am a lady after all! I do however have a kryptonite: Like most dogs, thunderstorms and/or fireworks are super scary for me, but if you give me those little pills to calm me, I’m fine. Isn’t that great? Easy peasy!

I like other dogs if we are fed separately and I don't have to share my toys with them (no aggression, I just don't like sharing LOL!). For example: I love my lab sister - we play and sleep together. And I do great with canine visitors as well. I just need a little time to get used to another dog because I like to establish the pecking order (with me at the top of course!). So please introduce me slowly and help me ease into a new relationship.

They tell me I’m a smart cookie; I know the commands load up, go eat, sit, get in your bed and drop it. I can’t wait for you to teach me more! I am spayed, chipped, house and crate trained, up to date on all my vaccines and on heartworm and flea/tick preventives. Please have a secure fenced yard and no children under 10-years-old or cats/little critters. Bonus points if you have a pool-I love to swim!

For more info about me, please call/text my grandma, Christy at 251-270-9358. I am in Fairhope, AL. I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together! There will be a rehoming fee so that my family knows you are serious about me
