Derby - MS

5/9/2023

Picture
My name is Derby and I am a fun-loving, healthy and active guy.  I was born on December 11, 2022 and  my dad is a registered AKC German Short Haired Pointer and my mom is an English Shepherd mix.  I am already about 30 pounds and I will certainly be a big guy when I am grown!  I have already had 3 rounds of Nobivac Puppy DVc and 3 rounds of Safeguard deworming and documentation will be provided at adoption.  I will still need to receive my rabies vaccination and be neutered!
I have tons of energy, which is why I need a home where I can get plenty of exercise!  I currently have a bit fenced in yard to run and play with my siblings.  I haven’t really had an opportunity to learn to walk on a leash, but I’m sure with some training, I will do great!  I love to chase tennis balls, play in the water (especially when dad gets out the hose), and play with my siblings.  I get along well with other dogs, but I haven’t been around cats.  Because of my size and energy, I would do best in a home without small children or at least not unsupervised, because I get highly excited being a young pup and still have not completely learned to not jump on people for attention.  I do like to settle down after I deplete my energy and get belly rubs and sleep!
Please be aware my family may have questions before any approval is accepted regarding vet check, area for exercise, etc.
If you think I would be a great fit for your family or you are interested in meeting me, email gailinot@gmail.com to set up a day/time.  I am located in North Mississippi so please be aware of travel distance when inquiring.  My rehoming fee is $150 and a $200 fee to insure that I am neutered will be required at the time of adoption.  The $200 will be refunded after a verified vet receipt is provided showing I was altered.
